The following applies to Windows use of analog using the port from Martin Johnson.
For Windows, download the self extracting archive logwin32.exe. For other platforms, visit the Chipmunk tools pages.
Run logwin32.exe. It will ask you to specify the folder to unpack to. Say this you called this "analog".
To run analog, open a CMD window, cd to the analog folder, and use the following command
log -canalog
This command will start log.exe, using the configuration file analog.cnf (which, confusingly, shows up as a speed-dial file in Windows).
You can now load the file nfetsim.lgf most easily if you simply copy it to the analog folder. Then open it using the following command typed to the analog window:
:load nfetsim.lgf
Read the help file log.txt for documentation on using analog. Use readlog.m in matlab to load the output from dumping the analog scope window results to a file.
You can create a windows shortcut by right-dragging log.exe to your quick-start bar or desktop. Then configure your shortcut properties as shown here to start log with analog configuration
Analog is just one of the Chipmunk tools that are maintained by John Lazzaro at UC Berkeley.
