The Sound of Change: test for hearing-motion synesthesia Melissa Saenz and Christof Koch The movies below demonstrate sample trials of our test for hearing-motion synesthesia. Each trial presented two 8-element sequences in a row (separated by a 1 sec pause). On 'same' trials the two sequences are identical. On 'different' trials the two sequences are not identical. To allow direct comparison with sound trials, the auditory sequences below are a copy of the visual sequences directly above them. (Keep in mind that the flashes in these movies are very rapid and may not display properly depending on your monitor settings.) |
